How does screening support your CMS compliance?

CMS Star Ratings

Systematic screening catches conditions before they become survey deficiencies. Documented, auditable, and written to the permanent record.

Psychotropic Monitoring

Screen for conditions behind psychotropic use. Support antipsychotic reduction with documented clinical evidence for every resident.

Reimbursable Screening

Clinician-reviewed screening supports CPT 96127 and 99483. Coding and reimbursement depend on the clinician, payer, and documentation.

Backed by 19 peer-reviewed studies. Deployed on Samsung health-grade Galaxy devices. Integrated with PointClickCare, Epic, and 35+ EHRs.

Common questions from SNF operators

How does GIA® reduce staffing burden for screening?

GIA® conducts the entire screening conversation independently on a Samsung tablet. No staff needs to be present. The clinician reviews the result in under 2 minutes after it is written to the chart. No training, no new hires, no scheduling.

Is the screening reimbursable through Medicare?

When ordered and reviewed by a clinician, the screening supports established codes such as CPT 96127 (brief behavioral assessment) and CPT 99483 (cognitive assessment and care plan). The clinician's own visit is billed separately when performed. Reimbursement depends on payer, setting (services during a Part A SNF stay may be subject to consolidated billing), medical necessity, and documentation. Scienza Health does not provide billing or coding advice.

Does Scienza integrate with PointClickCare?

Yes. Results, clinical notes, transcripts, and patient video are written directly to PointClickCare, as well as Epic, Cerner, MatrixCare, and 35+ other EHR systems via HL7 FHIR and Direct API.

How does screening support CMS quality measures?

Systematic screening catches conditions before they become survey deficiencies. Every screening is documented in the permanent medical record with clinical notes, which supports psychotropic medication monitoring, antipsychotic reduction initiatives, and overall quality measure improvement.
